| Um, wanna know what I'm NOT listening to, even though I
pre-ordered it and picked it up on the first day it came out?!!!
SWITCHFOOT! Ugh, I hate "content protection" I mean, I don't
download music at all, I spend way too much money on cds and on itunes, but
mostly cds. It pisses me off that I won't be able to listen to this cd on
my ipod, so I'm refusing to listen to it...for a while, I mean it IS
Switchfoot. Why am I being punished and
restricted because of the rest of the evil world? hahaha
So I’m putting music onto iTunes, my new Look to You
cd is awesome, and that finishes, so I proceed to put in Switchfoot’s new cd. Well, it doesn’t show up on iTunes, which is
weird, but then I go to the cd and open it.
It has this whole new menu and I see that I can download it from
there. Well little did I know that I was
SCREWING MYSELF
OVER. Because as I did that,
it permanently downloaded the music as a WMA protected file, and I now have
some software downloaded that watches my activities. Of course, before I downloaded the cd, I agreed to some stupid
agreement, which I didn’t read, who does (And that’s what they’re counting on)? But I think this agreement gave them
permission to MESS
EVERYTHING UP!!! I’ve tried
all sorts of stuff, well one thing that some guy suggested, and it didn’t work,
so I’m resigned to not having Nothing is Sound on my iPod…for now. I’m hoping some computer genius person will
override the security on the cd and get it on DCC? Haha, I’m not even sure what it’s called, I feel perfectly
justified getting the cd from DC, since I have already paid for the album, I
just want to listen to it on my iPod.
Anyway…funny what brings me out of hibernation. See ya! I'll leave on a much happier and more beautiful note...
